Perms - Hair Perming Types
These don't necessarily mean curls; they can also be used to add extra body and volume.
The variations on the perming theme are:
Root Perms: These add lift to the first half inch (1 cm) of hair.
Body-perms: These give soft waves and volume.
Weave Perms: These give a tousled effect.
Multi-textured perms: The hair is permed on a combination of small and large rods to create a natural effect.
Spiral perms: Longer hair is wound on to sticks or rods to give a corkscrew type curl.
