Acidity or Acid Peptic Disease is the excessive acid production in the stomach. Although acid production in the stomach is a normal process; for acids help in breaking down foods, imbalance in the protective mechanism and acid production may lead to acidity.
It is related to heartburn, acid reflux and gas formation in the stomach. It occurs when the gastric juices move from the stomach up to the lower esophagus this is a result of an excessive acid secretion in the stomach.

There are lots of home remedies available to control acidity. These are effective and safe because it doesn't contain chemicals and won't create long term side effects. You can do these following remedies:
Suck a piece of clove is one of the simple home remedies for acidity.
Increase intake of milk and milk products.
Fresh min juice can relieve acidity.
Mix 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey in a glass of water taken before meals, is another good home remedy for acidity.
Avoid foods with high content of pectin.
Boil cumin seeds in a glass of water and drink it with meals.
Avoid spicy foods and pickles.
Including watermelon, banana, and cucumber in the regular diet is a good home remedy for acidity.
Drink herbal tea that contains spearmint and liquorices.
Avoid caffeinated drinks.
Avoid frequent intake of blood thinners like aspirin and dispirin.
Take 10 grams of jaggery after meals to prevent acid formation.
