Popular Disco Hairstyles
Everyone knows that styles don't die! They simply get recycled. This is true not only where fashion is concerned. It is true where hairstyles are concerned, too. Each era seems to find its way back into popular culture. This is certainly the case with disco hairstyles. Disco hairstyles are the styles pushed in by the 1960's and embraced throughout the 1970's.
Popular Disco Hairstyles
If you look at the popular hairstyles of today, you will seem more and more disco hairstyles returning. The trendy, hair cuts of today, were once the shaggy and wedge hair cuts of the disco era. These disco styles by younger wearers are brand-new trends. But to those who were actually around in the 1970's, it's just a repeat of old styles.
Many African Americans are bringing back the resurgence of the Afro. Modern takes on this popular 70's hair style, include color. Today you could see and Afro that's blonde, or even two toned. Hair technology has advanced to such a level; people are wearing Afros with artistically designed shapes.
Another flash back disco hairstyle, involves long straight hair. This style was popular in the seventies for both women and girls. It was long hair divided into two ponytails. Each ponytail is then wrapped with a piece of ribbon. Look on the streets today, and you will see this and other disco styles returning.
